About me
I have taught high school for 16 years, mostly Chemistry and AP Chemistry. I graduated from Rice University with a B.A. with a double major in biology and history and an M.A.T. This is my 3rd year of teaching at Chattahoochee High School. I have four children who attend Taylor Road Middle School, Chattahoochee High School, and Georgia Tech University. My husband is also a science teacher, but in a school district not too far away. I also have a very sweet, older bichon frise named Simba. In my free time, I like to exercise, cook, work in my yard, hang with my family, and read. We just started watching the British Baking Show. But to be honest, I also grade papers a lot and talk about teaching to my family more than they want to hear.

Universal Remote Learning 2020
Students will be logging into Microsoft Teams for each of their classes 5 minutes before the start of each period daily. Students can access Microsoft teams by using their school e-mail. Students will follow the same schedule as they would follow when in school.
In AP Chemistry, this will be a blend of interactive lecture, problem solving, practice, virtual labs, and a few "fun" things thrown in to increase engagement, review content, and get to know each other. Students will be expected to engage during live instruction, take notes, and complete practice problems daily.
Completed notes will be turned in at the end of each unit and practice problems will be turned in most days. Students will turn in these assignments by taking a picture or using genius scan to scan their work and then upload these documents to the correct "Assignment" within our Teams course.
